FIRST UP, MEET VINNIE

How do we reinvigorate Fox's Biscuits, a tired British biscuit brand?

With a half panda, half dog of course. 

Vinnie is a New Jersey born gangster with a sketchy past. 

He's best known for his love of the finer things in life, from Italian handmade shoes, furniture from Denmark to the finest Fox's "biswcuits" in England.

THE BRIEF

How do we leverage Vinnie, our brand spokesman, outside of television?

As an animated character, it costs thousands of pounds to create even the slightest movement in film.

The brief was to extend the brand interaction of Vinnie, reaching thousands of people, with a minimal budget. 

THE IDEA

Vinnie is known for his unspoken criminal past. 

We decided to create a Sotheby's style online auction of his belongings. 

Everything from a blood stained persian rug to a fridge freezer containing mysterious meat cuts.

The items were all auctioned off with small narrative stories attached to each piece. 

All of the profits were donated to Crimestoppers, giving us a brilliant PR story to leverage.

CATALOGUE INTRODUCTION

Welcome to my auction catalogue, one of my many ventures in a portfolio that includes a specialist type of dry cleaning, waste disposal and concrete filling up to a depth of six feet. Almost everything you'll find in the online catalogue is legitimate. But Vinnie, what's led to the sales of items of such superior quality I hear you ask? Well, let's just say that I'm taking advantage of a recent change in import and export laws. Profits will naturally be bribed, sorry donated, back to my good friends at Crimestoppers. Vinnie x x x. 

LOT 4. STUFFED ADULT BOAR HEAD

Due to a rather unfortunate mix up, I have one Stuffed Adult Boar Head up for auction. Positioned in the classic alert position, observe the fullness of face.

LOT 2. PERSIAN RUG. SLIGHT RED STAIN

Late 19th century rug of Persian origin. Please note, that after being left rolled up in my car boot for the past few weeks, the mysterious red stain may prove particularly tricky to remove.

LOT 6. ASH BASEBALL BAT

Named Patsy, she fits perfectly into the side of most car doors, making her easy to transport. Although attached, I feel that the time is right in my professional career to upgrade to an alloy.

LOT 5. CHEST FREEZER

Comes with a range of miscellaneous meat cuts resembling ribs, shoulders, legs, fingers, knees and toes.

LOT 21. THE BUSINESSMAN

First there was Michelangelo's 'Statue of David'. Then came Auguste Rodin's 'The Thinker'. Now, joining the sculptural elite, is Vinnie 'The Businessman'. A limited edition run of 32, each hand painted and numbered.

LOT 7. HEAVY DUTY BOOSTER CABLES

A 3m set of jump leads. From my experience, they are the most persuasive tool on the market. They attach particularly well to nuts to deliver a shock upwards of 600 volts.

A seven iron gold club with slight kink after being struck rather too passionately into a couple of balls.

DELIVERY

All of the items were delivered in custom made wooden crates, with hand written personal notes from Vinnie himself.
